The Creative Hobbyist focuses on lifestyle, portrait and nature photography. I want to help you capture those special moments with family. Whether it's a new baby, celebrating a birthday, or just wanting to update your family pictures. I am here to capture those moments for you to be able to look back on for years to come without breaking the bank.
The Creative Hobbyist also enjoys finding the beauty in the everyday, in nature and the objects around us. Nature photos, prints and products are avaliable for purchase.
Newborn
Newborn photos are best booked within 1-3 weeks after birth. Newborn photos can be taken in your home or in an outdoor location of your choice. For newborn sessions I can bring small backdrop, blankets, and a couple props. You are welcome to include your own props, blankets, etc. If you would like to include a prop that you do not have feel free to contact me in advance and I may be able to create one. You can also shop props in our store.
Newborn photos are best taken while baby is sleeping. Please keep this in mind when scheduling your session. Newborn photo sessions include pictures of baby, pictures of baby with all immediate family members, family shots and closeups of baby's hands, feet, etc.
Newborn photo sessions are $150 for 2 hours and include 20+ pictures.

Family
The Creative Hobbyist is the Maternity and Family Photographer for you! Helping you preserve your favorite moments and stages for years to come. Photo sessions can be booked at the outdoor location of your choice. I recommend Greenfield Lake Park, Fort Fisher, or Wrightsville Beach. Maternity Photo sessions can be booked in 30, 60 and 90 minute sessions. I do not limit the amount of photos I take. I will book for the selected amount of time, take as many photos as time allows, edit them and send them to you within 2 weeks via Dropbox link. At that time you can then download and print the photos as you wish.
